Registration open: Music, Research, and Activism II

The tentative programme for the conference Music, Research, and Activism II: Solidarities and Urgencies (University of Helsinki, May 14-16, 2025) is now published on the conference website: https://www.helsinki.fi/en/conferences/music-research-and-activism/programme.

The conference will feature keynote lectures by Professor Patricia Hill Collins, Senior Lecture Shzr Ee Tan, and Activist Petra Laiti. Furthermore, the programme will include a panel discussion on arts and activism as well as over 100 presentations, panels, and workshops on the topic.

Registration for the conference is also now open for both onsite and online participants - a Zoom link will be sent to online participants closer to the event. Please register by 31st of March in order to confirm your place in the programme. The onsite participation fee is 110 euros, online fee is 80 euros. Lunch and coffee are included in the onsite fee. If you wish to attend the conference dinner (Hima & Sali restaurant; dinner will be a vegan buffet) on Thursday 15th of May, at 7 pm, please pay the dinner fee (63,20eur)  when registering.
